We’re already in the middle of the Fall season and there are still so many things to look forward to! We’ve launched our new nature-themed Reading Program, and it’s already making an impact. In this program, students will receive a booklet that will help them track their progress. Each time they read, or are read to for 15 minutes, an adult will track their progress in the book. Students will earn badges for different levels of reading achieved.
Below is a list of all the things we’re looking forward to during this new season:
- Pumpkin Patch: Tustin 10/28, Ontario 10/31
- Trunk-Or-Treat: 10/31
- Student Government Elections: 11/8
- Specially Abled re-launch and products: We will relaunch this at the back-to-school night with some of the products for the parents to enjoy. I hope to have everything up and running by October 1st.
- November Fall Festival: 11/17 (Tustin)
- Food Drive: 11/1 – 11/17
- Toy Drive: 12/1 – 12/19
- Holiday Sing-A-Long:12/14 Tustin
- Winter Wonderland: 12/19
- Scholastic Readers: Ongoing monthly
- Nature Reading Program: Started on September 12th and running through November.

4 Tips to Get Ready for Back to School, Fall Semester
Jumping back from the break to the school year can be challenging for us all.
- Start a bedtime and morning routine: start slowly by incrementally setting them to bed and waking them up until they’ve adjusted.
- Preview the school year calendar: We have ours uploaded to our here, check it out!
- Talk to your child about their goals for the year: Connecting with your kids and understanding their goals will position you to be a source of support and motivation for them to only get better.
- Let your kids know it’s OK to feel nervous: we’re all here for support and we’re in this together!
Details on Fall Quarter 2022 Events:
1. Pumpkin Patch:
Dates: 10/28 for Tustin, 10/31 for Ontario
Students will be able to purchase a small pumpkin and decorate it at school.
2. Trunk-Or-Treat:
Date: 10/31 (both campuses)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
3. Student Government Elections: Election Date: 11/8 (both campuses)
Students will present speeches for student government positions. All students will vote.
4. Specially Abled re-launch and product: TBD
5. November Fall Festival:
Date: TBD
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Each class will have a station with a Fall-themed activity (food, sensory, music, etc.) and students will rotate around campus to each station. Speech and OT will combine and have a large fun activity together.
6. Food Drive:
Date: 11/1 – 11/17
Each campus will collect food throughout the month of November and donate it to a local charity/pantry.
7. Toy Drive: Date: 12/1 – 12/19
Each campus will collect donations and/or unwrapped toys to donate to a local charity.
8. Holiday Sing-A-Long: One day during the week of 12/12 – 12/16
Time: 10:30 – 12:00
Each class will perform one to two songs of their choice.
Winter Wonderland: Date: 12/19
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Each class will have a station with a winter-themed activity and students will rotate around campus to each station. Speech and OT will combine and have a large fun activity together.
*Ongoing activities:
Scholastic Readers: We will be getting monthly scholastic book catalogs for students to bring home and order from throughout the year.
Reading Program: We have launched a reading program that is nature themed. Students will receive a booklet that will help them track their progress. Every time they read or are read to for 15 minutes, an adult will write in the book. Students will earn badges for different levels achieved.
